In the Batken region, there was an incident involving a driver who did not comply with the orders of traffic police inspectors.

As reported by the press secretary of the Batken regional department for road safety, Bektimir Mamytov, the inspectors stopped a vehicle being driven by a person in a state of intoxication. However, the driver refused to comply with the law enforcement officers' demands and attempted to flee the scene of the stop.

“Soon, the vehicle was stopped, and an inspection was conducted. During the inspection, it became known that the driver did not have a driver's license, and there was a smell of alcohol coming from him. As a result, he was taken to the narcological department, but he refused to undergo a blood alcohol content test,” Mamytov added.

Legal action will be taken against this driver under part 2 of Article 193 of the KR Code on Offenses, which pertains to operating a vehicle while intoxicated or transferring control to a person without a license.

According to this article, refusal to undergo testing may lead to administrative arrest for up to three days; if there is no driver's license at all, the arrest may last up to five days,” he clarified.
