On February 2, press service inspector of the State Penitentiary Service, Nadirbek Jusupov, stated that the law is the same for everyone, commenting on the case of a driver who was caught for the second time behind the wheel while intoxicated.
The first incident occurred on November 21, 2025. It was around three o'clock in the morning when patrol officers stopped a Toyota Avalon driven by B.U.T. The driver identified himself as a law enforcement officer from the Pervomaisky district, and the inspectors suspected that he was under the influence of alcohol, which was confirmed by a drug test.
Despite his attempts to evade punishment, a protocol was drawn up, and the case was forwarded to the Oktyabrsky District Court, which on December 9 acquitted the driver, finding him not guilty of operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
However, on January 31 of this year, this citizen was caught again for a similar offense. A drug test again confirmed the presence of alcohol in his blood. A protocol was once again drawn up against him under Article 193 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Kyrgyz Republic, concerning driving a vehicle while intoxicated.
“We intend to pay special attention to this case and take all necessary measures to ensure that this driver does not go unpunished. Every offender, regardless of their status, must be held accountable under the law,” summarized patrol officer Jusupbekov.
