According to the State Committee for National Security, an engineer for calculations at the Ak-Suu RES of the OJSC "NESC," citizen K.M.A., has been detained. She is suspected of extorting a bribe from local entrepreneurs engaged in tourism activities.
According to the agency's information, the suspect demanded a monetary reward in exchange for promising to reduce a fine that was imposed due to the absence of a seal on the electricity meter.
She is currently in the temporary detention facility of the Karakol Internal Affairs Department, where she will remain for 48 hours.
The investigation is ongoing.
