A blogger has been detained in Bishkek on suspicion of torturing his wife. This was reported by the press service of the Sverdlovsk District Department of Internal Affairs.
According to information from law enforcement agencies, a woman named M.D. filed a complaint stating that her husband, also M.D., systematically subjected her to physical and psychological abuse for a long time.
Previously, law enforcement agencies had issued protection orders multiple times due to incidents of domestic violence, but the accused did not cease his actions.
As a result, a criminal case was initiated under Article 138 Part 3 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The detainee was placed in the temporary detention facility of the Main Department of Internal Affairs.
