In the SCNS, it was noted that radicalization occurs remotely, as teenagers are gradually persuaded to adopt radical views through social networks, messengers, and various websites, which can lead to the justification of violence and offenses.
- Teenagers may learn how to create homemade explosive devices and receive calls to attack law enforcement agencies. Such actions, as well as preparations for them, are classified as serious crimes under Kyrgyz law and carry criminal liability.
In the past six months, the SCNS has recorded several cases of radicalization among youth, where teenagers were recruited by terrorist organizations via the internet. Some of them were detained at the stage of preparing for a terrorist act, studying instructions for creating explosive devices, while others were caught at the stage of their manufacture. These incidents pose a significant threat to the stability of the state and national security, as noted by the SCNS.
