According to the press service of the Ministry of Transport and Communications, in 2025, at the checkpoints "Sosnovka" and "Kara-Kol," a total of 300 million 266 thousand 484 soms was collected through the cashless payment system using QR codes. This figure exceeds the similar results of 2024 by 35.48%.
In order to improve the quality of service for citizens and minimize the human factor, which also helps in the fight against corruption, the minister instructed the management of the state institution "Production and Innovation Center" to promptly organize the transition to a cashless payment system at these checkpoints for the convenience of users.
As of today, citizens can make payments using modern methods: by using QR codes through installed terminals or electronic wallets in mobile applications.
In connection with the implementation of the new system developed by the employees of the "Production and Innovation Center," a phased reduction in the number of staff at the checkpoints has been carried out.
In addition, to prevent traffic jams at the "Sosnovka" and "Kara-Kol" checkpoints, the road infrastructure has been expanded. Two additional lanes have also been constructed and put into operation.
