In 2025, the 'Sosnovka' and 'Kara-Kol' checkpoints recorded the receipt of funds amounting to 300 million 266 thousand 484 soms through the cashless payment system using QR codes. This is an increase of 35.48% compared to the previous year, as reported by the Ministry of Transport of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The Minister of Transport and Communications, Abdykarim Sygyrbaev, previously instructed the management of the state institution "Production and Innovation Center" to implement cashless payments at the specified checkpoints. This decision was made to improve service quality, minimize human factors, and reduce corruption risks. As a result, cash payments for drivers were abolished.

Currently, citizens can pay for travel using convenient methods: through QR codes, terminals installed on-site, as well as via electronic wallets and mobile applications.

In connection with the implementation of this system, developed by the employees of the "Production and Innovation Center," the number of staff at the checkpoints has been optimized gradually.

Additionally, to reduce traffic congestion at 'Sosnovka' and 'Kara-Kol', the road lanes have been expanded by adding two new lanes, which are already in operation," the agency noted.
