4.7 kg of hashish, 2 grenades, and 242,000 soms: Drug crime group activity suppressed in Osh

Employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, responsible for combating the illegal drug trade, identified and halted the activities of an organized crime group in Osh that was engaged in the distribution of a large batch of drugs of Afghan origin.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, during a search of a Daewoo Nexia vehicle belonging to 28-year-old S. O. B., 101 grams of hashish and 155,000 soms were found, which became material evidence in the case.

Additionally, during a search at the residence of 34-year-old D. S. S., 4.6 kg of hashish, 2 RGD-5 grenades, a homemade firearm, 51 cartridges, as well as 2,000 dollars and 87,000 soms were seized.

The organizer of the crime group was identified as 41-year-old K.S.S., who had previous convictions for drug offenses in other countries. A search was also conducted at his home, resulting in the discovery of Afghan hashish (chars).

In connection with this incident, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 282 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, concerning the illegal production of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances for the purpose of their sale.

All three suspects have been detained and placed in a temporary detention facility in Osh.

A total of 4 kg 706 g of hashish, 2 grenades, 1 firearm, 51 cartridges, 2,000 dollars, and 242,000 soms have been seized. Forensic chemical examinations of the seized narcotic substances are planned.

Investigative actions are currently ongoing to identify other individuals involved in the activities of this crime group.
