According to the investigation, the senior investigator of the criminal investigation department of the Talas region, known as T.R.Z., had been extorting money from a local resident for an extended period, threatening him with criminal liability in case of refusal.
The suspect was detained on February 21, when the GKNB, together with the Internal Investigations Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, caught him red-handed while receiving part of a bribe amounting to 100,000 soms.
After the detention, the police officer was placed in a temporary detention facility. Currently, investigative actions are ongoing, and possible accomplices of this crime are being identified.
