According to citizens, the dead fish were piled at the base of trees.
“The situation raises serious concerns: an unpleasant odor has emerged, creating unsanitary conditions. The city administration must respond immediately and hold accountable those who violated the law,” they noted.
The Municipal Property Management of the city of Tokmok stated that this area does not belong to the city and is under the jurisdiction of the forestry department.
“Our ecologists cannot access this area for inspection, as it is land managed by the forestry department. They themselves must take action,” the agency reports.
