The military prosecutor's office has initiated a criminal case against Urmatbek Shamyrkanov, who previously held the position of Minister of Emergency Situations, on suspicion of receiving a bribe. This information has been confirmed by the Military Prosecutor's Office, as reported by "AKIpress Summary".

In the agency, it was noted that a legal assessment of the situation will be provided based on the results of the investigation.

Recall that on March 10, President Sadyr Japarov signed a decree dismissing Urmatbek Shamyrkanov from the position of head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. The president's press secretary, Askat Alagozov, stated that the dismissal was prompted by suspicions that Shamyrkanov, while serving as deputy minister, may have received a bribe.
