During the check, the driver, identified as Sh. R., refused to provide his driver's license. Together with the passenger S. K., he did not comply with the lawful demands of the police and began to resist.
As reported by the Internal Affairs Directorate, as a result of the conflict, both men damaged the uniform of one of the police officers, tore the jacket of the chief specialist of the press service of the Main Directorate for Road Safety of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and broke a Canon camera.
The police registered the incident at the Alamedin District Department of Internal Affairs and sent an investigative operational group to the scene. During the check, the detainees underwent examination at the psychology and narcology department, which showed that they were in a state of alcohol intoxication.
Based on the incident, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 374 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, concerning threats or violence against representatives of authority.
The detainees turned out to be men born in 1987 — Sh. R. and S. K. They were placed in a temporary detention facility in accordance with Article 96 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. Investigative actions are ongoing.
