Illegal Hunting in Osh: Six Caught

In the Osh region, which includes the Kara-Suu, Aravan, and Nookat districts, as well as the city of Osh itself, six individuals were fined a total of 75,000 soms for violating hunting regulations.

These cases were discovered during an operational raid organized jointly with representatives of the southern branch of NABU Kyrgyzstan, inspectors from the Osh Department of Environmental and Technical Supervision, and employees from the Department of Nature Protection and Biodiversity.

During the inspection, it was established that:

— one citizen violated the rules in the rural area of Kyrgyzstan on the outskirts of the city of Osh;

— three citizens broke the law in the rural area of Papaan in the Kara-Suu district;

— two citizens were detained in the rural area of Shankol in the Nookat district.

Thus, a total of six violators of hunting regulations were identified.

According to current legislation, they were fined amounts ranging from 12,500 to 75,000 soms, and damages of 2,000 soms were also claimed.

Additionally, during the raid, local residents were provided with explanations about the importance of adhering to hunting rules, protecting wildlife, and complying with legal requirements,” the official statement noted.
