Theft in a minibus: thieves in action
A bold theft occurred in a minibus in Bishkek, where pickpockets stole 595,000 soms, 400 dollars, and jewelry worth 100,000 soms, as reported by the Main Internal Affairs Department (GUVD).
On January 8, a woman named E.B. reported to the Lenin District Internal Affairs Department that money and jewelry had been stolen from her hand luggage in minibus No. 161.
As a result of operational activities, two suspects were detained at the "Sary-Ozon" market: Sh.M. and Zh.A., both born in 1985. Both detainees had previously served sentences for serious crimes.
The investigation revealed that on the morning of January 8, the suspects arrived at the market in a Daewoo Nexia car. They then boarded the minibus, where they selected a victim, presumably someone working at the market. After the theft, they left the minibus and took a taxi to their car, paying 1,000 soms.
During a search of the vehicle, police found the stolen jewelry.
The detainees are currently in the temporary detention facility of the GUVD, and the investigation is ongoing.
