Ainazyk, who recently turned 13, is a 5th-grade student at the komuz department of the Children's Art School named after J. Sheralieva, located in the At-Bashy district. In an interview with a Turmush correspondent, she shared her dreams, goals, and creative journey.
At the moment, the young artist has mastered 15–20 pieces. Her repertoire includes well-known folk kyuis, such as "Zhash Tolkyn," "Zhash Kerbes," and "Koyron Kuu." She not only performs melodies but also strives to understand their deep essence and history.
Ainazyk is particularly interested in the life and work of the famous master Toktogul Satylganov, studying the background of his works and drawing inspiration from his legacy. "Thanks to playing the komuz, I have participated in various competitions and visited different places. I have been to Bishkek twice, and once I performed solo at a competition in the capital, which I am very proud of. I have also often performed on stages in the Naryn region," she shares.
These trips have become an important source of experience for Ainazyk and have strengthened her confidence in her abilities.
For the young komuz player, playing this instrument is not just a hobby, but a way to express her emotions and reveal her inner world. "I practice a lot both at school and at home. During family celebrations, I play for my relatives, and when guests come, I am always invited to perform," she recounts.
Ainazyk also emphasizes how important the support of her parents, relatives, and teachers is. "I am very grateful to my parents, who pay for my education, and to the teachers who support me and motivate me to develop," she notes.
In her opinion, the desire alone is not enough to achieve mastery in playing the komuz.
