The Sheralieva Children's Art School in the At-Bashinsky District has achieved significant success on the international stage in recent years.

Aida Aitmambetova, a choreography teacher at this school, shared with a Turmush correspondent the achievements of her students and plans for preparation for upcoming international competitions.

— What are your recent achievements?

— In a recent international competition, we managed to take second place with an Indian dance, which was a great honor for us. In March, we received an invitation to Italy, and we are currently discussing financial matters with the parents. We also have the opportunity to participate in an international festival in Azerbaijan in May. These events are organized by well-known international organizations and gather the best dance groups from around the world. While 23 countries participated in the previous competition, 32 countries are expected to take part in the upcoming one in India.

— What are the conditions for participating in such competitions?

— To participate in international festivals, it is necessary to have an invitation, which is only given to those groups that have already achieved prize-winning places. Thus, each of our participations is the result of significant efforts. Unfortunately, the issue of funding for the trip to Italy remains unresolved, but we hope for a successful participation in the festival in Azerbaijan.

— Do you have sponsors or helpers?

— Yes, we are glad that support is starting to come in. For example, the mother of one of our students, Gulanda eze, offered to become a sponsor and sew costumes for six participants. We also hope for the assistance of other kind people.

— How do the children perceive trips abroad?

— Traveling abroad radically changes children's perception of the world. Each culture is unique, and when they observe the performances of other groups, it leaves an indelible impression. Upon returning, they compare their experiences and say, "If we did it that way, our country would develop faster." The difference between those who have traveled abroad and those who have not is indeed significant.

— How many students do you have now?

— Currently, our group has 36 students aged 6 to 15. Upon completing the five-year course, they receive a certificate of secondary vocational education. We have already graduated 13 groups. I am especially proud that my former students have returned and are now working with me as colleagues. For a teacher, this is true happiness.

— What moment on the international stage causes you the most excitement?

— When the name "Kyrgyzstan" is announced at international competitions, and we go on stage with the flag raised, it is hard to describe in words. In such moments, we are overwhelmed with emotion, and sometimes some girls cannot hold back their tears. It symbolizes our love for our homeland and pride in our people.
