On the second day of the Ivan Yarygin Cup in freestyle wrestling, athletes from Kyrgyzstan were unable to achieve success.

On January 30, five representatives from Kyrgyzstan stepped onto the mat.

The best result was shown by Arslan Budajapov, who managed to reach the quarterfinals in the under 79 kg category. He won against wrestlers from Dagestan and Cuba, but in the quarterfinals, he was defeated by an opponent from the Bryansk region, who then also lost in the semifinals, which deprived Budajapov of the opportunity to compete for the bronze medal.

Aruuke Kadyrbek kyzy (under 53 kg) won her first match against Aziza Keldibekova but then lost to a Russian wrestler.

Elina Karabalaeva (under 53 kg) and Tancholpon Kybalbekova (under 57 kg) also faced defeats in their opening bouts and were eliminated from medal contention.

The first day of the tournament was also unsuccessful for three Kyrgyz women, who left without medals.
