Kazakhstani Athlete Enters Top 20 of World Cup Freestyle Skiing Stage

On the first day of the World Cup stage taking place in Lake Placid, USA, Kazakh acrobats were unable to reach the podium.

The best result among the representatives of Kazakhstan was shown by Sherzod Khashirbaev, who became the champion of the Asian Games in synchronized jumps in 2025. He finished in 17th place, scoring 87.07 points and placing among the top 20 athletes in the competition.

Other Kazakh participants ranked lower in the final protocol: Roman Ivanov took 25th place, Asylkhan Asan finished 27th, Ulanbakir Umurzakov came in 30th, and Dinmukhammed Rayymkulov showed the 33rd result.

The men's tournament was won by Chinese athlete Wang Xindi, while the silver medal was claimed by Ukrainian Yan Havyryk. The bronze went to Chinese athlete Qi Guangpu.

In the women's competition, Australian Daniella Scott emerged victorious. Chinese athlete Xu Mengtai took second place, and American Kyla Koon won the bronze medal. Kazakh athlete Ayana Zholdas was registered to participate but did not start.

On Monday, the next stage of individual competitions for men and women will take place in Lake Placid as part of the World Cup in ski acrobatics.
