On the official website of the anime series "Jadugar: Witch in Mongolia," based on the manga "Life of a Witch in Mongolia" (Tenmaku no Jādūgar), Tomato Soup studio has presented a teaser and visual materials.
The companies announced the key creators of the anime and its release in July 2026. The series will be broadcast in the "IMAnimation W" block on TV Asahi, as well as on 23 of its subsidiary channels and BS Asahi.
The chief director of the anime is Naoko Yamada (The Heike Story, A Silent Voice, The Colors Within), while Abel Gongora (DAN DA DAN season 2, Scott Pilgrim Takes Off, Star Wars: Visions' "TO-B1") is responsible for production at Science SARU. Character design is developed by Kenichi Yoshida (Eureka Seven, Gundam: Reconguista in G), and the scripts are overseen by Kanichi Kato (Black Clover, The Eminence in Shadow). The musical score is composed by Koshiro Hino.

The manga published by Tomato Soup began its release on the Souffle platform of Akita Shoten in September 2021. The fifth volume was released on April 16.
The manga series began publication simultaneously with its placement on the Souffle website in the Mystery Bonita magazine of Akita Shoten starting March 6. It will be released every two months until summer, after which the release will be temporarily suspended due to the maternity leave of the Tomato Soup team. Resumption of publication is planned for next year.
The manga took first place in the Kono Manga ga Sugoi! 2023 ranking among women and 11th place in the similar ranking for 2024. It was nominated for the 16th Manga Taisho Awards in 2023 and received a nomination again in 2024. The manga was also nominated for the American Manga Awards in the "Best New Manga" category.
