The Intermed Hospital begins a strategic partnership with the Japanese IUHW Group and attracts investments.

On December 25, 2025, an investment agreement was signed in Tokyo between Intermed Hospital and IUHW Group aimed at attracting foreign capital to the Mongolian healthcare sector.

The International University of Health and Welfare (IUHW), established in 1995 in Tochigi Prefecture, became the first comprehensive university in Japan specializing in training specialists in health and welfare. Currently, about 8,300 students are enrolled at the university across 10 faculties and 24 departments, including graduate school, in 6 campuses, including Akasaka in Tokyo. Other campuses are located in Otawara, Narita, Odawara, as well as in Fukuoka and Okawa.

In 2025, IUHW will celebrate its 30th anniversary. Since its establishment, the university has adhered to the principle of "creating a society where people live together," training specialists in health and welfare. To date, the number of university graduates has reached 37,000.

As part of this cooperation, Intermed Hospital will implement Japanese medical technologies in diagnostics and treatment, which will enhance the quality of services provided. A system for exchanging experiences for doctors and medical staff will also be organized, allowing them to consult with Japanese experts and continuously improve their qualifications.

Long-term investments by IUHW in the JCI-accredited Intermed Hospital create new opportunities for obtaining high-quality medical care and world-class services in Mongolia.
