Eden Hazard, who was previously a key player for the Belgian national team, revealed details about his life after retiring from professional football. According to the former Real Madrid player, he is now focused on his family rather than on sports.
Hazard has chosen to live in Spain and has turned down a return to his homeland. He made this decision in the interest of his children, as well as for a more comfortable climate and peace after many years spent under the pressure of professional sports.
"Time flies unnoticed. Yesterday I was 19, and today I am already 35. It’s important to enjoy not only football but everything that surrounds us," he noted.
"Now I’m more of a taxi driver"
"I’ve become more of a taxi driver than a footballer, but it brings me joy," Hazard commented with a smile.
When asked about life after football, he admitted that he has no regrets and enjoys the absence of pressure and a fixed match schedule.
Additionally, Hazard recalled the 2018 World Cup, where Belgium lost to France in the semifinals. Despite this, he considers that team one of the best in history and is proud of what they achieved.
Although his career as a professional player is behind him, Hazard keeps himself in good physical shape, spends time with his family, and has no intention of returning to professional football, preferring a quiet life away from the sports arenas.
