Athletes from Kyrgyzstan won 9 medals at the Muhamet Malo tournament

From February 25 to March 1, the second ranking tournament in sports wrestling called Muhamet Malo-2026 took place in the Albanian capital, Tirana.

According to the press service of the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports of the Kyrgyz Republic, 28 wrestlers from Kyrgyzstan participated in the tournament, competing in three categories: freestyle, women's, and Greco-Roman wrestling.

As a result of the competitions, Kyrgyz athletes won 9 medals.

Freestyle Wrestling:

Ernazar Akmataliev (up to 70 kg) - gold medal;

Orozobek Toktomambetov (up to 74 kg) - silver medal;

Zalkarbek Tabaldiev - bronze medal.

In women's wrestling, all four participants placed:

Aiperi Medet kyzy (up to 76 kg) - gold medal;

Nurzat Nurtayeva (up to 72 kg) - silver medal;

Meerim Jumanzarova (up to 68 kg) - silver medal;

Gulnur Tashtanbekova (up to 65 kg) - bronze medal.

Greco-Roman Wrestling:

Razak Beyshkeev (up to 72 kg) - bronze medal;

Uzur Jusupbekov (up to 97 kg) - bronze medal.
