According to the statement, as part of this exchange, the Russian side handed over 1,000 bodies of the deceased to Ukraine, while receiving 38 bodies of its own servicemen in return.
The Ukrainian Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War confirmed the information about the completed exchange of bodies.
It should be noted that the previous exchange of bodies between the two countries took place on December 19, 2025, when Russia transferred 1,003 bodies and received 26 in return.
