Of the total number of deceased, men accounted for 55.1%, which is 97.5 thousand people, while women made up 45.9% or 81.4 thousand. More than half of all deaths—54.1%—occurred in urban areas, while 45.9% were registered in rural areas.
The most common cause of mortality in Uzbekistan remains diseases of the circulatory system, which account for more than half of all fatalities. In 2025, over 104 thousand people died from cardiovascular diseases. Following them in terms of the number of cases are neoplasms, respiratory diseases, and other illnesses.
