The unique structure, over 500 meters long, 204 meters wide, and about 80 meters high, was carefully demolished after a series of controlled explosions. The video of the detonation process was published by the NL publication.

Local residents dubbed this bridge the "lying Eiffel Tower" of Brandenburg, due to its resemblance to the famous Parisian landmark.

This bridge served as a special transport route connecting the two banks of the future canal. During its 45 years of operation, it became an important element, moving about 3.5 billion cubic meters of soil.

The decision to dismantle it was made by the authorities due to the insufficient profitability of further use of the bridge.
