
Reports indicate the closure of the following road sections in various regions of Kazakhstan:
Kyzylorda Region
Since 10:00, restrictions on the movement of all types of vehicles have been introduced on the road section that runs along the route Russia-Kazakhstan border – Martuk – Aktobe – Karabutak – Kyzylorda – Shymkent – Taraz – Kordai – Almaty – Khorgos – China border, between kilometers 1240 and 1362 (in the area of the border of Aktobe region and Aralsk). The expected time for reopening is February 15 at 20:00.
Aktobe Region
On a similar section of the road bordering Kyzylorda region, restrictions for all types of transport have also been introduced since 10:00, between kilometers 1153 and 1240 (Irgyz – border of Kyzylorda region). Movement is planned to be reopened on February 15 at 20:00.
Almaty Region
Since 10:30, movement has been restricted on the road section along the route Russia-Kazakhstan border – Martuk – Aktobe – Karabutak – Kyzylorda – Shymkent – Taraz – Kordai – Almaty – Khorgos – China border, km 59-143 (from Zhanakurylys to the border with Zhambyl region). The expected time for restoring movement is February 15 at 13:00.
Zhambyl Region
Since 10:30, restrictions on the movement of all types of vehicles have been introduced on two sections: the first - Russia-Kazakhstan border – Martuk – Aktobe – Karabutak – Kyzylorda – Shymkent – Taraz – Kordai – Almaty – Khorgos – China border between km 143 and 214 (from the border of Almaty region to Kordai); the second - the section "New bypass of Kordai Pass," km 159-238 (from Kenen to Kainar). The expected time for reopening is February 15 at 13:00.
West Kazakhstan Region
Since 13:00, movement for freight and passenger vehicles has been restricted on the road section Uralsk – Taskala – Russia border, km 4-104 (from Uralsk to the border with Russia). Movement is planned to be reopened on February 15 at 18:00.
