In recent months, actor Matthew McConaughey has received approval from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office to register eight trademarks related to his popular personas. This measure aims to protect his appearance and voice from being used in content created with artificial intelligence, as reported by The Wall Street Journal.

The list of trademarks includes, in particular, images of the actor on a porch, as well as a three-second video clip of him sitting in front of a Christmas tree. Additionally, a well-known audio recording of the phrase "Alright, alright, alright," spoken in the 1993 film "Dazed and Confused," is also protected.

Recently, McConaughey granted ElevenLabs permission to use his voice for news narration in Spanish, while also being an investor in the organization.
