A Kyrgyzstani named T. A., suspected of committing fraud amounting to 16.4 million soms, has been extradited from Vietnam to the capital of Kyrgyzstan. This information was provided by the General Prosecutor's Office of the Kyrgyz Republic.
According to the agency, the extradition occurred thanks to the active cooperation of the General Prosecutor's Office of the Kyrgyz Republic with the relevant authorities in Vietnam. The citizen, who caused significant harm to the victims, was brought to Bishkek under the protection of officers from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic and the National Central Bureau of Interpol, after which he was placed in a pre-trial detention center for further investigation.
The General Prosecutor's Office is actively carrying out the extradition of individuals who attempt to evade legal responsibility, in accordance with international agreements. This work is aimed at protecting the rights of victims and ensuring the principle of inevitability of criminal punishment.
