At the international CES 2026 exhibition in Las Vegas, Kyrgyzstan showcased its achievements in the field of artificial intelligence, among which stands out the KaniTTS speech synthesis model developed by the startup NineNineSix.
KaniTTS is an open-source solution that provides real-time natural speech generation. According to the developers, this technology outperforms similar solutions, such as ElevenLabs, OpenAI, and Google, in speed by three times and in cost by up to ten times.
The model is offered under the Apache 2.0 license and is completely free. It is capable of generating 15 seconds of synthesized speech in just one second on an NVIDIA RTX 5080 graphics card, eliminating the need for expensive cloud solutions. Since its launch, KaniTTS has been downloaded over 15,000 times on the Hugging Face platform. The basic version supports eight languages, including Kyrgyz, English, German, Korean, Arabic, Chinese, Spanish, and Japanese.
The organization of Kyrgyzstan's participation in CES 2026 was carried out with the support of the High Technology Park of the Kyrgyz Republic, which unites more than 500 residents. The HT Park offers companies special tax incentives, legal support, and access to international markets, which promotes Kyrgyzstan as a technology-oriented country with an export focus.
