According to information provided by the UN News Service, the International Organization for Migration (IOM) has developed plans covering 32 key projects in various countries and regions.

The document was prepared against the backdrop of growing global humanitarian needs and the limited resources of the organization itself. The plans aim to assist 22.7 million people, including migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, and the communities hosting them.

This year, the IOM has decided to clearly define priority areas, focusing efforts on the most urgent needs. Organization representatives emphasize that although the requested funding amount is lower compared to previous years, this does not indicate a decrease in the relevance of the needs. Limited resources will be allocated to those who are most vulnerable, as well as to projects that can have a significant impact and save lives, while also providing flexibility to expand assistance as additional funds become available.

The UN News Service notes that across all 32 projects, there is a common trend: millions of lives depend on timely and sustainable funding. The 2026 crisis response plans transform global needs into specific priorities, demonstrating how every dollar invested contributes to providing assistance to those in need, ensuring their safety, dignity, and opportunity for recovery.
