The price of stallions reaches an average of ₮2.6 million (about $730.34), as reported by MiddleAsianNews.
According to information obtained from the National Statistical Office, the average price of horses increased by ₮1.7 million in December 2025 compared to the same month of the previous year, indicating a continuing rise in livestock prices.
Last year also saw price increases in various sectors of animal husbandry. For instance, the price of five-year-old stallions (соёолон азрага) was ₮1.3 million (approximately $365.17), while the price of four-year-old bulls rose to ₮1.9 million (about $533.71). The price of rams reached ₮300,000 (around $84.27), and the cost of male goats increased to ₮210,000 (approximately $58.99) compared to the previous year.
Additionally, price differences were recorded between regions. In December 2025, the highest price for males was ₮2.6 million in Sukhbaatar aimag, while in Bayan-Ölgii aimag it was only ₮1.35 million (about $379.21).
Prices for related goods also increased. For example, the average price of cowhide longer than two meters in December 2025 was ₮16,900 (about $4.75), which is ₮7,000 (approximately $1.97) more than the previous year. The average price per kilogram of white cashmere reached ₮113,000 (approximately $31.74).
