
The competition, which took place over two days, gathered more than 120 athletes from various sports committees and clubs in Ulaanbaatar, as well as from the provinces of Orkhon, Darkhan-Uul, Khentii, and Arkhangai. The athletes competed in eight weight categories for both men and women. This was the 72nd championship for men and the 22nd for women, starting with the lightest categories.

The championship opened with the competition in the women's weight category up to 48 kg, where nine participants competed. The gold medal was won by Tungalag B., an international champion, who lifted 52 kg in the snatch and 61 kg in the clean and jerk, with a total result of 113 kg. This earned her the eighth national title in competitions among youth, juniors, and adults.
Simultaneously with the championship, following a recent general meeting, Mongolia updated the organizational structure of its weightlifting federation. During this event, new president, general secretary, and head coach of the federation were elected.
