According to the Center's administration, the photographs that caused public outcry were taken in the summer of 2025, when the City Perinatal Center was undergoing repairs, which significantly increased the load on their facilities.
Currently, the Center has expanded its postpartum department, added additional beds, and created all necessary conditions for the comfortable accommodation of patients.
“Despite the fact that the institution is designed for 80 beds, it is currently temporarily accommodating 106 women. The Center operates as a tertiary-level medical institution and serves patients with complicated pregnancies and serious conditions from all corners of the country,” the statement noted.
The Center's director, Nurgul Shoonaeva, added that in 2025, the number of births accepted increased by a thousand compared to the previous year. All patients receive the necessary medical assistance, there are no refusals for hospitalization, and work continues around the clock.
