Deputy Elvira Surabaldiyeva raised the issue of existing problems in this area. She noted that doctors from the regions often have to leave their workplaces to undergo training and take exams at the Institute for Retraining and Advanced Training of Medical Workers. However, due to limited time, some of them do not manage to complete the course, which leads to the necessity of paying extra for its completion.
Surabaldiyeva emphasized that this issue requires reform and proper oversight from the ministry.
Matkerimov clarified that the training program necessary for obtaining categories is indeed conducted at the Daniyarov Institute, where medical specialists acquire all the necessary skills and knowledge. Nevertheless, the final assignment of categories is carried out through the relevant associations.
“The Minister of Health and I discussed the possibility of reforming this process to transfer responsibility to the Ministry of Health. Also, doctors who are forced to pay extra for training can contact us with information about their cases, and we will consider each situation individually,” Matkerimov added.
