According to the latest data from the National Statistical Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic, the number of newly registered malignant neoplasms among women has significantly increased from 2010 to 2023, while a decrease in morbidity is noted for several infectious and social diseases, including active tuberculosis and alcohol dependence.

In 2010, there were 2,566 thousand cases of malignant neoplasms recorded, and by 2023, this number had risen to 3,371 thousand. The most common tumors are breast tumors: from 530 cases in 2010, their number increased to 745 in 2023. There is also an increase in cases of cervical and uterine body cancer, where, despite fluctuations in statistics, 605 cases were registered in 2023. Ovarian cancer has also become more prevalent, reaching 248 cases, which is one of the highest figures observed during the entire monitoring period.

Against the backdrop of increasing oncological diseases, a decrease is recorded for some infectious and social diseases. For example, cases of active tuberculosis decreased from 2,341 thousand in 2010 to 1,602 thousand in 2023. The number of registered cases of alcohol dependence has significantly decreased — from 361 to 92.

Statistical data also show fluctuations in the area of mental health. The number of registered mental disorders varied, reaching its peak in 2017 — 1,843 cases, while in 2023, it amounted to 1,200 cases.
Changes are also observed in the area of urinary system diseases, particularly chronic pyelonephritis. After an increase in the number of cases at the beginning of the period under review (up to 13,033 in 2013), a decrease is noted, with the number in 2023 amounting to 7,631 cases.
In gynecology, a decrease in cases of cervical erosion and ectropion is also noted — from 9,898 cases in 2010 to 4,105 in 2023. However, cases of menstrual disorders have decreased compared to the beginning of the period, although in recent years there has been a gradual increase, reaching 5,752 cases in 2023.
The number of registered cases of female infertility fluctuated throughout the period and amounted to 1,247 cases in 2023, which is lower than the figures at the beginning of the decade. The dynamics of pregnancy complications also raises concerns: after a peak in 2017 at 69,571 cases, this figure decreased to 33,245 in 2020, but then rose again to 60,538 cases in 2023.

Overall, the statistics indicate a rise in oncological diseases, while a decrease in morbidity is recorded for some infectious and social diseases. The issue of reproductive system diseases and pregnancy complications remains important, requiring attention from healthcare authorities.
