At a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, Deputy Bekmurza Ergeshov (District No. 6) announced a critical situation with the Osh Interregional Oncology Center, which is currently operating in the premises of a kindergarten and lacks modern equipment. He emphasized that the construction of a new building is a top priority.

According to the deputy, approximately 6,400 new cases of cancer are recorded annually, of which about 2,000 are registered in the south of the country. The building housing the oncology service was declared emergency as early as 2010, after which the institution was forced to relocate to the kindergarten. "Since then, the issue of new premises has not been resolved," Ergeshov noted, adding that the existing material and technical base needs updating.

He also reported that land for the new oncology center has already been allocated and urged to expedite the construction process.

Additionally, the deputy drew attention to the condition of the infectious disease hospital at Osh Clinical Hospital, which is designed for 275 beds but has already become outdated. During periods of high morbidity, patients are forced to stay in the corridors. Ergeshov proposed the construction of a new infectious disease hospital with 500 beds.
