Bishkek and JICA confirmed their intention to expand economic cooperation







Today, January 30, a meeting took place in the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek, between the Minister of Economy and Commerce Bakyt Sydykov and Yoshifumi Yoshikawa, Vice President of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

During the negotiations, representatives of both sides emphasized the importance and results of many years of cooperation between the government of Kyrgyzstan and JICA, which encompasses numerous joint projects.

Sydykov also shared the government's goals aimed at achieving sustainable economic development and comprehensive progress in the country, as well as outlined key areas corresponding to the National Development Strategy of Kyrgyzstan until 2030.

Additionally, successful initiatives were discussed, such as the "One Village - One Product" project, which has become a vivid example of effective cooperation, as well as the JDS program aimed at developing human capital.

As a result of the meeting, both sides expressed their desire to continue joint efforts to improve current projects and expand other areas of cooperation.
