At a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, Daniyar Amangeldiev, who holds the position of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, reported that the problems that arose in the sewing industry in 2025 have already been resolved.

In response to questions from deputies, he noted that the difficulties were related to entering the electronic platform Wildberries and issues regarding the determination of the VAT payer.

According to the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet, the measures taken in this direction were reinforced by the Russian Federation, as the corresponding taxes were not entering the country’s budget due to uncertainty regarding the VAT payer; Wildberries did not fulfill this role. Recently, during a session of the EEC Council, the issue concerning the "Honest Sign," customs clearance, and the determination of the VAT payer was discussed. As a result of joint efforts with Wildberries, the issue was successfully resolved.

Amangeldiev also reported that the government has found a way to finance the sewing industry by offering loans at 6 percent per annum and allocated additional funds from the presidential fund.

Commenting on the deputies' information about the closure of 6 to 8 thousand sewing enterprises, he emphasized that this is not true.

According to official data, the volume of production in Kyrgyzstan remains at the same level. Earlier, during discussions about the situation in the sewing industry in the Jogorku Kenesh, it was reported that 4-5 thousand sewing workshops had closed in the country.

In the fall of 2025, it became known that changes in the requirements of the Russian Federation created a number of problems for representatives of Kyrgyzstan's sewing industry. Difficulties with exporting products to Russia were also discussed at the Ministry of Economy and Commerce.
