He noted that this volume of water allowed for the irrigation of 676.67 thousand hectares of agricultural land. Among them, 26.07 thousand hectares were used for spring crops, and 52.694 thousand hectares for second crops.
Omuraliev added that active irrigation activities began in the first half of May. On May 3, an application was submitted for water intake from the Chu River with a calculated volume of 69.05 m³/s, but in fact, 56.06 m³/s was provided.
Also, starting from April 30, water began to be supplied from the Orto-Tokoy Reservoir at a volume of 38 m³/s, which gradually increased: by May 5, the volume reached 50 m³/s, by May 7 — 72 m³/s, by May 12 — 88 m³/s, and by June 3 — 100 m³/s.
According to the department, by May 2025, the volumes of water supply and actual water provision were 147–154% higher than in the same period of 2024.
