At a republican meeting dedicated to the results of social and economic development, President Sadyr Japarov emphasized that the years from 2021 to 2025 will be an important stage for Kyrgyzstan's economy. He noted that these years should be remembered not only as a time of recovery but also as a period of qualitative economic progress.
According to him, in 2020, the country's gross domestic product amounted to 8.3 billion US dollars, and by 2025 it will exceed 22.6 billion dollars. This means that the economy will grow almost threefold, which is a significant achievement.
Over five years, tax revenues have increased fourfold, customs duties sixfold, and non-tax revenues nearly ninefold. The consolidated budget, which was 313 billion soms in 2021, will exceed 1 trillion 100 billion soms by 2025, corresponding to a growth of 3.5 times. These indicators have no analogs in the country's history. We have carried out reforms in areas where "shadow schemes" had long been in place, focusing on transparency and accountability. A major achievement has been the reduction of corruption risks in the tax sphere, which has yielded quick results," added President Japarov.
