What barriers businesswomen face in Kyrgyzstan, as reported by the Guarantee Fund

In Kyrgyzstan, one of the most significant problems faced by women entrepreneurs when obtaining loans is the lack of collateral. This was stated by Reina Kurmankozhoeva, Deputy Chair of the Board of the Joint Stock Company "Guarantee Fund," during the opening of the event "Ring the Bell for Gender Equality."

According to her, women often have less property registered in their name and limited access to financial resources. Additionally, their level of financial literacy is lower, which complicates interactions with financial institutions. "Our goal is to ensure that the lack of collateral or resources does not become a barrier for women in business," she noted.

It should be emphasized that the Joint Stock Company "Guarantee Fund" was established by the government of Kyrgyzstan in 2016 to facilitate entrepreneurs' access to financing through the provision of credit guarantees. The shareholders of the fund are the government of the Kyrgyz Republic and the National Bank, which ensures its stability and strategic focus.
