At the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh on March 11, Deputy Aigul Karabekova noted that there is only one syringe manufacturing plant in Kyrgyzstan, which is capable of producing up to 500,000 units of product.

However, as she emphasized, in 2025, out of the 1.6 million syringes needed for state hospitals, only 1.4% were purchased from this plant. This means that funds are leaving the country.

In response, Japarov reminded that 4-5 years ago, under Minister of Health Alymkadyr Beishenaliev, this plant was granted an interest-free loan. He instructed the current minister, Damirbek Osmonov, to conduct an investigation and find out the reasons for the low syringe purchases.

The President emphasized: "We must support local producers. Our goal is to minimize imports. If previously the ratio of imports to exports was 70% to 30%, it is now 65% to 35%. Even if we cannot completely abandon imports, we need to at least equalize these figures." He urged government members and deputies to pay attention to this matter.

Additionally, he called on fish farmers to purchase feed from the plant in Kara-Balta.
