In Kyrgyzstan, there has been a decrease in prices for fuel and lubricants, amounting to between 1 to 1.5 soms. This was reported by the Association of Oil Traders, whose representative, Kanat Eshatov, explained the reasons for this change.

According to him, at the end of December, Russian oil refineries traditionally offer seasonal discounts on their products. "This year, wholesale prices for fuel and lubricants have slightly decreased, which has allowed some companies to sign contracts and purchase certain volumes of fuel. These batches have already arrived in Kyrgyzstan, and at some gas stations, prices have dropped by 1 som or even more," Eshatov noted.

He also added that new prices will be set in the near future, so it is currently difficult to predict further changes in fuel costs in the country.

“Russian plants have resumed their operations. The wholesale prices they offer will determine how retail prices will be formed in Kyrgyzstan,” the association representative explained.
