In the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek, regular monitoring of prices for socially significant products is being carried out, including meat products such as beef and lamb. This was reported by the press service of the city hall.
These measures are being taken in accordance with the directive of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce issued on August 7, 2025, concerning temporary state price control on meat (including beef and lamb, excluding boneless cuts).
The monitoring is conducted in cooperation with the district administrations of Sverdlovsk, Pervomaisky, Lenin, and Oktyabrsky districts, as well as representatives of the antimonopoly service, veterinary specialists, and tax authorities. They regularly conduct raids and inspections at markets and trading points in the city.

The inspections cover markets such as "Osh Bazaar," "Orto-Sai," "Alamedin," "Dordoy," "Aziz," as well as chains like "Markets," "Globus," "Asia," and other trading facilities.
As part of the monitoring, explanatory work is being carried out with entrepreneurs and sellers, emphasizing the unacceptability of unjustified price increases and the necessity to comply with established maximum retail prices. Special attention is given to ensuring that the price of beef and lamb does not exceed 680 soms per kilogram.
Measures are also being considered to increase the availability of meat at social prices, including the establishment of trading places without intermediaries and the opening of new sales points.
After the cessation of wholesale meat trading at the Osh market, a new meat pavilion named "Chuygun" has opened in the territory of the livestock market "Altyn-Taka."
This pavilion is intended for wholesale meat sales and fully complies with sanitary and veterinary standards.
In the same area, meat is sold at retail prices in the pavilion "Taza Adal Et," where residents can purchase high-quality and safe products.

The current wholesale prices for meat products are as follows:
- Lamb — 640–680 soms;
- Beef — 640–680 soms;
- Horse meat — 540–560 soms.
Retail prices start from 660 soms. Price control and monitoring are conducted on a regular basis.
