Since January 14, 2026, wholesale meat trading has been halted at the Osh market. Now, meat procurement in the capital is carried out in the new pavilion "Chüygün," which is located on the territory of the livestock market "Altyn-Taka" in the Maevka area. This information is provided by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The changes were initiated as part of the implementation of a special resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic aimed at complying with veterinary and phytosanitary standards. These measures are intended to ensure the safety of meat products and improve the quality of food for the population.
The area of the new meat pavilion "Chüygün" is 800 square meters, and it fully complies with sanitary and hygienic standards. Inside the pavilion, the following are provided:
an office and laboratory for the veterinary service;
a quarantine storage for meat;
a refrigeration chamber with an area of 90 square meters;
other service premises.
