According to information from the Ulaanbaatar administration, the price of beef will be 15,000 tugriks per kilogram, while mutton will cost 13,000 tugriks per kilogram. This year, the total volume of reserve meat is 5,000 tons, of which 40% is beef and 60% is mutton. In anticipation of the Mongolian New Year according to the lunar calendar, from February 7 to 17, an expanded sale of reserve meat will take place at 18 locations in the capital. Additionally, in January, two planned and two unplanned inspections were conducted to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
In order to meet the spring demand for meat in the capital, the Ulaanbaatar Management Department organizes reserves of reserve meat annually. As part of this initiative, a selection of suppliers has been conducted since June of last year. Out of 15 participating companies, nine were selected to prepare the reserve meat.
