Authorities reported that the most significant price increase in Kyrgyzstan occurred in 2025.

According to the statement by the Chairman of the National Statistical Committee Baktybek Kudaybergenov at a press conference in Bishkek, consumer prices and tariffs in the country increased by 9.4% from January to December 2025 compared to December 2024.

The most noticeable price increases were observed in fruits, fish, vegetable oil, potatoes, meat, vegetables, butter, dairy products, flour, and sugar.

In the city of Osh, prices rose by 11.6%, which is mainly associated with a 12% increase in the cost of non-food goods and a 13.5% rise in tariffs for services provided to the population.

Chui region recorded the highest increase in prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages — 13.1%, while the highest growth for alcoholic beverages and tobacco products was 14.4% in the Issyk-Kul region.
