Almambet Shykmamotov, head of the State Tax Service of the Kyrgyz Republic, attended the international jewelry exhibition Vicenzaoro in Italy.
According to information from the agency, during the exhibition he had the opportunity to familiarize himself with current trends in the jewelry industry, as well as with new materials and technologies. In addition, Shykmamotov held working meetings with leaders of major Italian jewelry companies.
During his visit, he met with Eleonora Rizzuto, Director of Sustainable Development and Corporate Social Responsibility for the Bvlgari group and Italian brands of LVMH.
At the meeting, the chairman of the State Tax Service discussed the state of the jewelry industry in Kyrgyzstan, as well as the reforms being implemented and the state support measures aimed at developing local jewelry production.
The potential of the country in the processing of precious metals and stones, as well as opportunities for attracting investments and cooperation with international brands, were discussed.
As a result of the negotiations, an agreement was reached on training Kyrgyz jewelers at Bvlgari.
Shykmamotov also met with Mr. Massimo Polero, president of the association of manufacturers and exporters of jewelry equipment, where issues of interaction in the jewelry sector were discussed.
He proposed various options for joint actions, including the possibility of purchasing equipment from the company AFEMO to organize a full cycle of jewelry production in Kyrgyzstan.
In addition, bilateral meetings were held with Trevi Group S.r.l. and Damiani Group.
During these discussions, the parties considered modern technologies and equipment for the jewelry industry, including laboratory solutions for analyzing precious metals, as well as technologies for the production and processing of jewelry products.
Opportunities for adapting advanced Italian technologies for use in enterprises in Kyrgyzstan and in specialized laboratories were also considered.
At the conclusion of the negotiations, the parties agreed on a visit by Italian jewelry manufacturers to Kyrgyzstan to assess and study the market, as well as for further negotiations on joint projects.
