Today, December 24, at a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, the Chairman of the State Tax Service, Alambet Shykmamotov, announced plans to open laboratories for testing jewelry at airports. This innovation will simplify the process of importing jewelry.
As Shykmamotov noted, currently jewelers face the necessity of delivering imported items to specialized buildings, where they have to wait in line for testing. This creates significant inconveniences. In this regard, similar to the practices of developed countries, the possibility of conducting testing directly at airports is being considered. He reported that it has been instructed to establish such laboratories at the “Tamchy”, Osh, and Bishkek airports, and relevant work is currently underway. Shykmamotov added that after the implementation of this project, modern laboratories capable of stamping jewelry will operate at the specified airports. This will significantly reduce the time required for jewelers and free them from unnecessary procedures. Furthermore, this initiative will contribute to the development of the jewelry industry, improve business conditions, and enhance transparency in this sector.
