The appeal from the Association for the Development of the Agro-Industrial Complex of the Kyrgyz Republic concerns the situation related to the company OsOO "Rikha".

We remind you that on January 19, 2026, during a meeting of the Budget, Economy, and Entrepreneurship Committee of the Jogorku Kenesh of the KR, accusations were made regarding the "revocation of the license" from OsOO "Rikha", "improper accreditation", and possible non-compliance with "halal" standards.

The Association reports that at the moment the company has not received any official notifications (including letters and directives) from the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the KR or other relevant authorities regarding any revocation of permits, identified violations, or restrictions on its activities.

"The activity of producing and selling sausage products and meat products does not require licensing. Private manufacturing enterprises do not undergo state accreditation; instead, product certification procedures are applied. The 'Halal' certificate is voluntary. Currently, OsOO 'Rikha' has valid certificates issued by competent organizations of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Kazakhstan," the statement from the Agro-Industrial Complex Association of the KR notes.

According to the AIC, OsOO "Rikha" has:

"According to the results of laboratory analyses conducted at an accredited institution, no pork DNA was found in the products of OsOO 'Rikha', as confirmed by the test protocols," the association added.

The producers' union emphasized that they are closely monitoring the situation in the agricultural and food processing market, as well as the information environment related to the activities of domestic producers.

"Previously, the association has faced situations where unchecked or distorted public interpretations of certain issues led to public pressure and reputational risks for businesses and the entire industry. Such reputational risks affect not only the domestic market but also neighboring markets, creating a negative perception for the entire domestic food and processing industry," the AIC reminded.

In the past, the Center for the Development of the Halal Industry has already commented on the situation with the sausage producer, stating that the company's license had not been revoked, and the organization that issued the certificate had ceased to exist.

The State Institution "Center for the Development of the Halal Industry" also noted that the approach to certification in the halal industry sector is currently being reviewed. In this regard, necessary changes are being made to the Code of Offenses to combat fraudulent entrepreneurship and reduce the level of consumer deception in the field of halal certification.
